Product Overview
Ceramic Fiber Board is a rigid panel wet-formed from ceramic fibre on a computer-controlled vacuum filtration line. The wet process lays the fibre down evenly, so thickness and density stay consistent across the panel and from batch to batch, which is what makes the board usable as a machined part rather than just a compressible layer. Six classification grades from 1140 C to 1430 C are offered.
The board is specified where the insulation has to hold a shape: behind dense firebrick and castables as the backup layer, under kiln-car decks, around burner blocks, and as the separator between temperature zones. Because it is moulded rather than cut from blanket, 60 to 100 mm panels come out of the mould in one piece instead of being laminated from two thinner sheets.
