Ceramic Fiber Rope is a dense, round-section braided textile made from high-purity aluminosilicate ceramic fibre yarn, with or without a reinforcement core. It is built for valve and pump gland packing, furnace and kiln door seals, expansion joint fills, ladle and tundish covers.
The braided construction gives the rope a round, consistent cross-section and a dense fibre surface that grips the gland. Compression and rebound can be repeated many times without losing sealing force, which is why braided rope is the workhorse packing for hot valves and furnace doors.
