Alumino-Silicate Brick
Alumino-Silicate Brick

Alumino-Silicate Brick

- Dual-phase alumina-silica microstructure: balanced combination of refractoriness, hot strength and chemical stability.
- Resistance to both acidic and weakly alkaline atmospheres: adapts to mixed-chemistry combustion environments. - Stable mechanical strength under continuous high temperature: no softening or deformation at rated service temperature.
- Good thermal shock resistance: tolerates frequent start-stop cycling without joint cracking.
- Very low high-temperature linear change: lining stays tight over long campaigns, no gap formation.
- Tight dimensional tolerance: clean masonry, low mortar consumption, fast installation.

Product Overview

Alumino-Silicate Brick is a composite refractory brick formulated from carefully selected alumina and silica raw materials and fired at high temperature to develop a balanced dual-phase microstructure. The product is designed for medium and high-temperature industrial kilns where a single-component refractory (pure fireclay or pure high-alumina) does not provide the best combination of properties.

With Al2O3 content typically in the 45% to 60% range, the brick offers a practical compromise between refractoriness, thermal shock tolerance and chemical stability. It is widely used in general-purpose industrial kilns, in coke oven door and door-jamb zones, and in petrochemical heater linings where both acidic flue gas and weakly alkaline deposits can be present.

Application Scenarios

Alumino-Silicate Brick is widely used in coke oven doors, door jambs and regenerator walls; in the secondary lining of general industrial kilns (ceramic, lime, dolomite); in petrochemical process heater combustion and convection sections; and in the hot-face or back-up lining of boiler combustion chambers. It is also a reliable general-purpose choice for steel mill reheating furnace sidewalls and bottoms.

Factory & Service Advantages

Huaci operates a dedicated alumina-silica brick line with computer-controlled batching, automated pressing and tunnel-kiln firing. Four Al2O3 grades are kept in routine production; special shapes and large format tiles can be produced on order. Export shipments are palletised with seaworthy wrapping, and full mill certificates (refractoriness, density, CCS, PLC) accompany each lot.

FAQ

Q: Which Al2O3 grade should I specify?

A: 45% is suitable for general back-up; 50%–55% for the working lining of medium-temperature kilns; 60% for hotter zones and slightly more aggressive chemistry. Our sales engineers can recommend a grade based on your lining diagram and operating temperature.

Q: How does this product compare with high-alumina brick?

A: It has lower Al2O3 and slightly lower refractoriness than high-alumina brick, but better thermal shock tolerance in many cases. For mixed-chemistry atmospheres, it is often a more cost-effective choice.

Q: Can you produce special shapes and large panels?

A: Yes. We produce burner blocks, peephole blocks, anchor bricks and other special shapes according to drawing. Custom moulds typically take 10–15 days.

Q: What is the typical export lead time?

A: Standard sizes ship within 10 working days after deposit. Special shapes and mixed-container loading can be arranged within 15–20 working days.

Q: Is third-party inspection supported?

A: Yes. SGS, BV, CCIC and other nominated inspection agencies are welcome. We provide full QC documentation and on-site witnessing during production.
