Product Overview
Lightweight Mullite Insulation Brick is a porous insulating refractory brick with a stable mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2) crystal phase as the main skeleton. Produced from high-purity synthetic mullite and carefully graded burnout additives, the brick delivers low thermal conductivity, low bulk density and reliable high-temperature strength in a single product.
It is engineered for use as the back-up insulating layer in medium and high-temperature industrial kilns (1200°C to 1500°C class), where it can cut furnace shell heat loss significantly compared with dense fireclay or high-alumina bricks. The combination of low conductivity and acceptable hot strength allows thinner, lighter lining designs.
